| The internet opened
up a whole new world for Jo. Fanfiction was something she'd only
ever dreamed. As a child she watched TV shows, movies and read
fiction that she always believed needed to go a step further.

| After finding fanfiction
related to the CBS crime procedural drama CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,
it was as if a dream had come true. She realized that this was
something she had wanted to do, but had just never known it until
finding it. So she dipped her quill into the pool of fanfiction. |

|
| Her new dream, to
publish her own novel not based on someone else's characters.
And yes, she knows it will be a long road, but sure it will be
worth it. |

| Fanfiction opened
up a whole other world for me. I had been dragging my feet in
the secular world, trying to find that one specific career that
would give me purpose. Writing had become my new escape and with
each new piece of work my writing style and grammar improved.
I soon found that writing was something I couldn't stop doing,
an original piece of work became my goal. |

| There is a tremendous
amount of work ahead of me and so much to learn, but I've never
said that I have nothing new to learn. When you say that, you
might as well be dead. With great friends and family supporting
me in my endeavors, I am certain that I'll succeed. I just hope
they realize how long this road will be! |
